Enjoy a hayride around historic Gaver Farm in Mt. Airy, Maryland. Hayrides are FREE! Hayrides depart from the back of the Farm Market and take guests on a scenic ride around the farm.
Pick Your Own: U-pick crops are available all fall! Visit our apple orchard (open select dates) and get your delicious, local apples. In early September, pick your own sunflowers and enjoy many unique photo opportunities in our fields! U-pick pumpkins fill our fields and famous Pumpkin Barn from September – October!
FAQ: Do I need a ticket for the hayride? No ticket needed! Hayrides are FREE! The hayride path runs parallel to the Fall Fun Fest so you can get a sneak peak of all the fun attractions and enjoy fall on the farm too!
Location: Gaver Farm is located just minutes from Route 70 in New Market, MD. Located in Frederick County, MD and just an hour from Washington DC and Baltimore, MD, it’s the perfect destination for your fall hayrides!
TICKETS are NOT required for hayrides or to pick your own. Pay for your apple bag prior to apple picking. Pay for pumpkins and sunflowers after picking in the Farm Market.
Weekends: FREE hayrides from 10 am – 6 pm (weather permitting). Hayrides run continuously. The last outbound hayride departs at 5:30 pm.
Weekdays: FREE hayrides (for all guests) start every day with the High Noon Hayride. Walking to the fields is encouraged if there is not a hayride during your visit (picking wheel barrows are provided).
MORNING weekday hayrides are reserved for School Field Trips with advance reservations.
Comfort and emotional support animals, and other non-service animals (pets), are not permitted.
