Pick Your Own Apples

Apple Crop Update: we are sad to share that due to a late season frost/freeze event in April, we lost over 90% of our apple crop. This was the most severe loss we have ever experienced in the orchard and we are devastated that pick your own apples will not be available this season.

Early Bird apple picking and Apple field trips will not be available for 2026. We will have apples available in the Farm Market and we will be hosting pumpkin field trips this fall!

The GOOD news: we planted more apple trees this spring and all apple trees look great- the trees themselves suffered no damage from the freeze and we expect an excellent crop in 2027!

While apple picking will be missing from the farm this year, we have a beautiful crop of sunflowers and pumpkins to pick this fall. The Fall Fun Fest with over 65 attractions and farm animals, hayrides, Farm Market and delicious food stands open on September 4th for the season.

See you in 2027! Pick your own apples at Gaver Farm! Pick apples from the farm’s beautifully trellised apple trees- grown so you can easily pick without the use of ladders. Varieties available include Blondee, Buckeye, Ultra Gold, Crimson Crisp, Empire, Evercrisp, Ludacrisp, Cameo and Fuji.

How does it work?

Purchase a peck ($28) or half bushel ($45) bag in the Farm Market, Admission Barn or Apple Orchard entrance. You may only enter the orchard if you have purchased a bag, limit 4 people per bag. Kids under 2 are not included in 4 person limit. Up to 2 additional pickers are permitted per bag ($2 per person) at the entrance to the Apple Orchard.
The pick your own bag is valid on the date purchased only.
You may fill the bag as full as you would like, but may not carry any apples or use other bags.
You pay for what you pick. If you want to pick more, just purchase another bag!
No returns of pick your own bags or apples.
No sampling the apples in the orchard.
Strollers, wagons and backpacks are not permitted in the orchard.

The Farm Market is fully stocked with pumpkins, specialty pumpkins, apples, squash, gourds, mums, corn stalks, straw and more if you are unable to pick your own.

Hayrides to pick your own are FREE!

TICKETS are NOT required for hayrides or to pick your own. Pay for your apple bag prior to apple picking. Pay for pumpkins and sunflowers after picking in the Farm Market.

Hayride Schedule:

Weekends: FREE hayrides from 10 am – 6 pm (weather permitting). Hayrides run continuously. The last outbound hayride departs from the Farm Market at 5:30 pm.

Weekdays: FREE hayrides (for all guests) start every day with the High Noon Hayride. When the Orchard is open, hayrides are ALWAYS running continuously!

MORNING weekday hayrides are reserved for School Tours with advance reservations.
