September 7 – November 2, 2018
Monday – Friday from 9 aM – 3 pM
Gaver Farm offers educational field trips to accredited public and private schools, preschools, year-round daycares, head start programs and organized homeschools.
School Tours provide an opportunity for children to learn about and experience agriculture on a real working farm and meet our family farm members! Guests learn about the life cycle of a pumpkin, our friend the bee, farm animals and agriculture products!
Field trips include a hayride to the pumpkin patch to pick your own pumpkin, self-guided educational opportunities and Fall Fun Festival Admission. The cost is $7 per person for children and adults and 1 FREE teacher per class (classroom size = 20 students).
Please bring the School Field Trip Check-In Form for a quick and easy check-in.
Home-Based Schooling and Home Daycare Days: September 26 – 27, 2018. Parents and their home-schooled children may take advantage of the school group rates and stay all day. Many home daycares have less than 20 children and do not qualify as a classroom. Gaver Farm has set aside these days so these groups can receive the same pricing and group rate of $7 per person (handhelds under 1 free, all others must pay). You do not need to make a reservation. When you arrive at the farm and check-in, please let us know that you are a homeschool family, group or home daycare. Hayride Schedule: 10:00 am, 12:00 noon, 2:00 pm! You will pick your own pumpkin during the hayride (under 5 pounds, included in field trip admission).
Teacher Appreciation Weekend: September 8-9, 2018. Teachers with a valid ID receive FREE Fall Fun Festival admission, plus 1 FREE guest admission and a FREE Gaver Farm apple cider donut! Join us to celebrate and thank our wonderful teachers.
School’s Out for Fall = Field Trip Blackout Dates: September 10 and 19 and October 8 and 19, 2018. When school is closed in Frederick County and/or surrounding counties, there are no field trips scheduled. You are welcome to come to the farm on these dates under general admission of $9.00 per person, kids 2 and under free and pumpkins not included. Free hayrides from 10 am – 6 pm.
